Investment strategy
The JPMCB Stable Asset Income Fund seeks to provide capital preservation, liquidity, and current income at levels that are typically higher than those provided by money market funds. The Fund will attempt to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in fixed income instruments with companion book value contracts issued by insurance companies, banks, and other financial institutions, as well as other types of stable value products which may be available such as other stable value collective trusts, guaranteed investment contracts (“GICs”), bank investment contracts (“BICs”), group annuity contracts, separate account insurance contracts and other contracts that the Trustee determines may facilitate achievement of the investment objectives of the Fund.Book value contracts entered into by the Fund will be limited to contracts issued by high quality providers on the Trustee’s approved list at time of purchase. A book value contract is an agreement from a major financial institution to provide liquidity for participant transactions on a stable (book) value basis.
